Aquarelle.com

With a name like Aquarelle how could I resist? This shop was around the corner on 7-9, rue de Buci Paris, 75006. I think I spent as much time or more in Parisien floral shops as patisseries.

Aquarelle.com is a French chain and they deliver the most sumptuous bouquets to your door (if you live in France). CLICK on this one and you can surely smell the flowers.

The combinations and colors are endless.
How to choose which ones to show you?
I love the way they come wrapped inside a transparent cellophane "vase" You choose the vase at home.
I didn't buy any of these to paint..I just admired.

Click on this and get a weekly flower bouquets delivered to you email...But I did sign on to get their 2-3 times weekly emails of fresh flowers.
What a nice Mother's Day gift to yourself even if you don't live in France.

Wow, Carol--those flowers are beautiful. Loved them all. Great post after the greys of Paris yesterday, having all that color pop so fantastically!

I got a few bouquets from my family in the past and I even got a "breakfast" one last december:
roses + afew exotic flowers in which miniature baskets were picked, holding either a "madeleine", or a miniature jar of jam or some almonds. Unusual and beautiful !
    Just spoiled !!!

I know that flower shop very well. For eight consecutive years we spent a month in an apartment on Rue St. Andre des Arts and I often bought flowers at Aquarelle.
I will be there in June, not in the same apartment, but one not too far away and I always visit the Buci area because my favortie cafe is there - Cafe Buci. Isn't that a great area with the Buci market, the new cheese shop, Cafes, gelato place, and shops?

  9. ellen2art that little area is full of such goodies! And Champion supermarket is there for practical bits. KUSMI's new tea salon is open too.

Marie-Noëlle Lucky you! They really do up such nice bouquets there..really thought out.

tongue in cheek I did try to paint one of them, but it only got as far as the circular file :(

  10. Oh but they do deliver abroad now! And their website has some funny English translations on it. My only gripe with Aquarelle is how many times we've been disappointed - but only by their dumb transporters. The last time, the worst.... the driver got out of his van - and the van ran backwards and crushed the bouquet!! Why it was on the ground behind the van, we shall never know. The bouquets are fantastic though. I like their candy one ;)

  14. Wow, Carol, these are some absolutely GORGEOUS arrangements! You were so lucky just to be able to visit the shop and see them! Too bad about the painting you tried. Maybe you can try another? Way too complicated for me, though!
